How to create a new version

A new version is a retrospective change. New versions are used to change terms and have those terms apply to all transactions (past and future), for example to fix erroneous setups, adjust terms, etc.

When a new version of the SPA is created, notes and documents will also copy over alongside the sections outlined in the Terms tab. To create a new version:

Step 1: In the SPA, click the Edit button in the lower left hand corner.

Step 2: Click on the New version tile and the Confirm button.

Tip: If your Edit button is disabled, check that you are viewing the latest version and period of the approved SPA.

Once the new version is created, you will be automatically navigated to the Details tab of the new version. This new version will be in a Draft or Ready for approval status and sections within the SPA can be edited.

How to create a new period

A new period is a non-retrospective change. New periods are used to change terms and have those terms apply to transactions from this date forward, for example if a distributor renegotiated a higher mechanism value on a product.

When a new period of the SPA is created, notes and documents will also copy over alongside the sections outlined in the Terms tab. To create a new period:

Step 1: In the SPA, click the Edit button.

Step 2: Click on the New period tile.

Step 3: Select the date you would like to make changes from. When selected, click the Confirm button.

Tip: If your Edit button is disabled, check that you are viewing the latest version and period of the approved SPA.

Once the new period is created, you will be automatically navigated to the Details tab of the new period. This new period will be in a Draft or Ready for approval status and sections within the SPA can be edited.
